​Please take a moment to review our policies before placing your order. By purchasing chicks or hatching eggs, you agree to the terms outlined below. We appreciate your support and are honored to be part of your farm journey.

Chick Order Policy:

  • Our chicks are sold unsexed, with a minimum order of 4 for local pickup and 8 for shipping. 
  • We operate on a preorder system, and orders are filled in the order they are received. 
  • ​Refunds and Cancellations: We do not issue refunds or cancellations for orders once they are placed. However, if we are unable to fulfill your order within the shipping year, we will issue a refund under those circumstances only.
  • As the buyer you have every right of refusal before it leaves our hands. However, due to our NPIP status, birds cannot be returned to our property if you cannot keep them, this includes surrendered roosters. ​We are very proud of our NPIP status and follow the biosecurity guidelines provided by the USDA. We encourage you to protect your own flock and do your research before making purchases. There are many great breeders who value biosecurity, we will be happy to assist you in locating one. 

Local Pickup Policy:

We are happy to offer in-person pickup for those who prefer not to ship chicks. To choose this option, select “Pickup” during checkout.
  • We’ll contact you to schedule your pickup. 
  • Pickup takes place at our front gate, at an agreed-upon time.
  • If you prefer to meet off-site, we are happy to arrange a public location for pickup instead.
  • We provide complimentary boxes for you to transport your chicks home in, you are welcome to use your own.  ​
Please Note: As participants in the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP), we are not able to allow visitors into our coops or provide farm tours or walk-throughs at pickup. This is to protect the health and biosecurity of our flock.

Chick Shipping Policy:

Shipping Schedule & Method:
​We ship chicks on Mondays and Tuesdays only to ensure they arrive as quickly as possible. All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Express.
  • Shipping cost: $75 per box
  • As of 2025, USPS has implemented a $15 Live Animal Surcharge per box (this charge has been included in the shipping total).
Order Requirements:
  • Minimum: 8 chicks
  • Maximum: 20 chicks per box
  • Chicks are shipped as one-day-old, straight run (unsexed).
  • Based on availability, we may include extra chicks at no additional cost. However, no refunds or replacements will be issued for these bonus chicks.
​Packaging & Tracking:
Each order is carefully packed in an approved live chick shipping box lined with excelsior pads for safe footing. We include Gro-Gel for nutrition and two heat packs for warmth.
You will receive a tracking number on the day of shipment. We recommend contacting your post office in advance to inform them that you are expecting live chicks. The phone number you provide us for pickup will be on the outside of your box. It is your responsibility to provide a reliable phone number, as well as monitor your phone for calls pertaining to your order.
Pickup Responsibility:
It is the buyer’s responsibility to pick up chicks from the post office within 2 hours of being notified of their arrival. Please plan accordingly.
Loss or DOA (Dead on Arrival) Policy:
If a chick arrives deceased, take a clear photo of the chick and the box immediately upon opening and contact us right away. Failure to do so voids any refund or credit.
In the event of a loss during shipping (before arrival), we will issue either a refund or a credit toward replacement chicks. Shipping fees are non-refundable, and shipping will be charged again on any replacements.

Important Reminders:
  • Set up your brooder ahead of time so your chicks can be placed in a warm, safe space with access to food and water as soon as they arrive.
  • There is inherent risk in shipping live animals, including potential delays or rough handling by the carrier. Once chicks leave our farm, we are not liable for any shipping issues.
  • We do not guarantee or offer refunds for live chick or hatching egg shipments due to factors outside our control.
Shipping is available only within the Continental United States. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or internationally.
By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to all the terms outlined above.

Hatching Eggs Policy:

  • Orders are filled in the order they are received. We do not issue cancellations or refunds once an order has been placed. The only exception is if we are unable to fulfill your order within the current shipping year, in which case a refund will be issued.
  • When placing your order, please notify us of any dates you will be unavailable to receive your eggs (such as vacations or travel). We will do our best to avoid those dates when scheduling your shipment.
  • Please provide a reliable email and phone number at checkout. These will be used to contact you about your order’s status and delivery.

Hatching Eggs Shipping Policy:

Shipping Schedule & Method:
We ship hatching eggs Monday through Wednesday via USPS Priority Mail. Priority Mail is our default shipping method, but we strongly encourage upgrading to Priority Mail Express at checkout, especially for long-distance orders, as it offers greater reliability and faster delivery to help ensure your eggs arrive safely and on time.
  • ​Priority Shipping Cost: $40 per box (includes USPS’s $15 Live Animal Surcharge introduced in 2025).
  • We do not ship to P.O. boxes.
  • All eggs are packed in foam shippers and double-boxed to provide maximum protection during transit.
Eggs are always shipped to be held for pickup at your local post office to reduce travel time and handling. Please include a valid phone number so the post office can notify you when your eggs arrive. It is your responsibility to provide a reliable phone number, as well as monitor your phone for calls pertaining to your order.
  • If you would prefer your eggs shipped directly to your home, please let us know in advance.
  • We include 2 free extra eggs in every order, from the same varieties you've selected.
We strongly encourage you to open your package at the post office, in the presence of a USPS employee. In the event of visible damage, you must file a claim with USPS directly.

Important Disclaimer – Please Read:

Hatching eggs carry inherent risk. Even under ideal conditions, not all eggs will develop or hatch. Fertility and hatch rates can be affected by factors outside our control, including transit conditions, incubation technique, and environmental variables.
We make every effort to ship fresh, fertile eggs that are well-packaged and clearly labeled, but we cannot guarantee hatch rates, and we do not offer refunds or replacements for hatching eggs once they are shipped.

If you are not willing to accept the risks associated with shipping eggs, we recommend purchasing chicks or scheduling a local egg pickup instead.
