Chicks
- We ship chicks on Monday or Tuesday each week.
- We only ship via USPS Priority Express Service, as it is the fastest service.
- You are purchasing one day old, straight run chicks.
- We will provide a tracking number to you on the day of shipment. Please notify your post office that you will be receiving live chicks within 1-2 days, and to contact you when they arrive.
- We carefully package each order in approved shipping boxes. Boxes are lined with excelsior mats to provide traction for chicks. We include Gro-gel for nutrition, and two heat packs for warmth.
- The phone number you provide us for pickup will be on the outside of your box. It is your responsibility to provide a reliable phone number, as well as monitor your phone for calls pertaining to your order.
Extra Chicks:
- Extra chicks may be shipped with your order based on availability.
- We will not replace or issue refunds for extra chicks.
- It is the buyer’s responsibility to pick up chicks from the Post Office within 2 hours of being notified of their arrival. Please plan your shipping date accordingly.
- If a chick is dead upon arrival, please take a photo of the chick and the box and contact us immediately. Failure to follow this voids your refund.
- In the event of a loss during shipping, before arrival, the buyer will receive a refund or a credit for replacement chicks.
- Shipping charges are never refunded, and shipping will be charged on replacement chicks.
- We recommend you prepare your brooder for chicks before their arrival, as they will need to enter a warm brooder with food and water quickly after pickup.
- We are not responsible for chicks after they arrive at the post office alive, as the conditions they are kept in are out of our control.

- Refunds and Cancellations: We do not issue refunds or cancellations for orders once they are placed. However, if we are unable to fulfill your order within the shipping year, we will issue a refund under those circumstances only.
- Order Fulfillment: Orders are filled in the order they are received. Please note any dates when you will not be able to receive your eggs (e.g., if you will be out of town) when you place your order.
- Contact Information: Please provide a reliable phone number and email address at checkout. We will use this information to communicate with you about the progress of your order.
- Pickup Policies: We offer in-person pickup for those who prefer not to subject their eggs to shipping. Select the "Pickup" option at checkout.
- We include 2 free extra eggs in every order, which will be eggs from varieties included in your order.
- Eggs are packed in foam egg shippers and double-boxed to protect them during shipping.
- We ship eggs via USPS Priority Mail, which typically arrives in 1-3 business days. We ship eggs Monday through Wednesday.
- Priority Mail Express is offered as an upgrade for hatching egg shipments at checkout.
- We cannot ship to a P.O. box.
- All eggs are shipped to be held for pickup at your local post office. Please provide a phone number for the post office to reach you once the eggs arrive. Let us know if you prefer your eggs shipped directly to you.
- We encourage you to open your box at the post office, in front of a USPS employee. If there is any damage, you will need to file a claim through USPS.
We value our customers and make every effort to ensure your hatching eggs and chicks arrive healthy and safely. Please understand that once we hand your package to USPS, we have no control over their handling.
- We will contact you to schedule an appointment for local pickup, we will meet you at our front gate for pickup. If you prefer to meet at a public location, we are happy to meet off-site.
- We provide complimentary boxes for you to transport your chicks home in, you are welcome to use your own.
- The only way to guarantee the gender is by vent sexing. This requires years of training and is a health risk to the chick if performed incorrectly. Therefore all chicks are sold straight run.
Our flock's protection is our priority. We do not allow coop tours or visits with the chickens. In an effort to make up for this, we share updated photos and videos on our Facebook page regularly. I will provide detailed photos of any juvenile or adult bird for sale, we encourage you to look over the prospective bird fully before leaving.
NPIP Status
As the buyer you have every right of refusal before it leaves our hands. However, due to our NPIP status, birds cannot be returned to our property if you cannot keep them, this includes surrendered roosters. We may be able to assist in finding them a new home.
We are very proud of our NPIP status and follow the biosecurity guidelines provided by the USDA. We encourage you to protect your own flock and do your research before making purchases. There are many great breeders who value biosecurity, we will be happy to assist you in locating one.
