Lavender English Orpington Hatching Eggs
This listing is for one dozen, Lavender English Orpington hatching eggs (14 eggs total).
Lavender English Orpingtons are our passion, and were the very first variety we began breeding. For years, our focus has been improving feather quality and overall type within our lavender group. Much of our progress has come from incorporating Black Split-to-Lavender into our breeding program. For several years, we paired lavender birds with black split-to-lavender birds to help strengthen feather quality and overall structure within our birds.
Today, our hatching eggs come from our lavender-to-lavender breeding group. We grow out and evaluate offspring from our smaller black split-to-lavender group as potential additions to our lavender breeding group.
One of the reasons we originally chose English Orpingtons was their gentle nature, having family friendly chickens was important to us. Over the years, we’ve fallen in love with these gentle giants and have found them to be hardy dual-purpose birds with wonderful temperaments. Our lavender flock is especially calm and laid back, making them one of our favorite groups for families.
