Unsexed Mauve English Orpington Day Old Chick
Mauve is a project color that we are excited to work with. We began our Mauve English Orpington Project, by breeding chocolate over blue, resulting in first-generation mauve offspring. This season, we've introduced mauve hens to our chocolate breeding group, this combination produces chocolate and mauve offspring.
We have found that English Orpingtons are a truly dual-purpose breed, unmatched in size and quality compared to Orpingtons from a hatchery.. Their gentle and docile disposition makes them perfect for families looking for a friendly and beautiful addition to their flock.
It's important to note that our Mauve Orpington project is ongoing, and as such, variations in shades or lacing may occur. In our opinion this adds to the charm and uniqueness of each bird, making them a delightful addition to any flock.
As a large breed, English Orpingtons require feed with a high protein content to support their growth after transitioning from chick starter grower.
